Health, Life, and Salvation

John 6:32 You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.

In the 9th Chapter of the Book of Acts, we read that Peter took a trip to check in on the churches and all the believers that had left Jerusalem because of the persecution. These people preached the Gospel wherever they went and congregations of believers sprang up across the region. Peter had been their leader and shepherd, so he went to see how everyone was doing.

The believers loved Peter and were glad to see him. The Bible tells us that he visited many places and ministered to the folks but it highlights three specific people he ministered to. Over the next few days, we will look at each one separately, but I cannot help but draw attention to the fact that the three are representative of the three components of the Ministry of Jesus while He was on earth: Health, Life, and Salvation.

The three people highlighted in the Bible each had a different problem. Aeneas was helpless, Tabitha (Dorcas) was dead, and Cornelius was ignorant. Peter ministered the Gospel of Christ to all three of them and the Holy Spirit moved in their lives supernaturally bringing Health to the helpless, Life to the dead, and Salvation to the ignorant.

The Gospel of Christ is the Power of God. For the Message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the Power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18) Jesus went to the Cross to defeat the enemy in all aspects of our lives. The Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary is a complete Work that encompasses everything that hinders us.

The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy us and he works hard to do so. However, when we fully understand and place our faith in all that Jesus accomplished on the Cross of Calvary, we can be set free from it all. This is the Truth of the Gospel of Christ that makes us free. You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. (John 6:32)

The problem doesn’t matter. Whether we be helpless, dead, or ignorant; sick, poor, or in bondage, the remedy is the same: Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. He is the remedy for this lost and dying world. He has already done the work. It was all accomplished 2,000 years ago on the Cross of Calvary. There, He won the Victory for all who will believe. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, (Acts 16:31)

Believe and He will……..….turn the tide……….in your life!
