John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

Some people would love to live in the days when Jesus was alive and ministering on Earth. While that would be wonderful, in actuality, according to Jesus, we are far better off today than in those days because we have the Holy Spirit with us at all times. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. (John 16:7)

We have continual access to the Father through the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. Jesus could only Minister to those people in His presence. In that sense, He was limited. Not so with the Holy Spirit of God. He is not limited in any sense of the word. God, the Father, is not limited and neither is the Holy Spirit.

As Jesus spoke to His Disciples about His going away, He said I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. (John 16:12-15)

Jesus had so much that He wanted to tell them but they were not capable of hearing it all at that time. However, when the Holy Spirit came, He began to teach them and guide them into all Truth. Remember that Jesus is the Word (John 1:1-3;14) and He is the Truth. (John 14:6)

Jesus’ Words are the Truth. That’s why the Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance the Words of Jesus. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26)

Seek the Teaching and Guidance of the Holy Spirit. He will direct you into all Righteousness. He is sent by God to you to be your all-around Helper! Hallelujah!

God’s Helper will………..turn the tide ……….in your life!

Lord, thank you for the Help.         Doreen
