His Kingdom

Psalms 103:19 The Lord had established His Throne in Heaven, and His Kingdom rules over all.

In the Old Testament and the New Testament, we read about the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God. In Old Testament times, a Kingdom referred to a sphere of land and people that the human ruler had authority and control over.

God’s Kingdom includes the entire universe and everything in it. He is the Creator of it all and He is the Sovereign Ruler over it all. Nothing is beyond the rule of God Almighty. The Lord had established His Throne in Heaven, and His Kingdom rules over all. (Psalms 103:19)

In our thinking and understanding today, we think of a Kingdom as a land mass that is ruled by a King or Queen. The United Kingdom would be a perfect example. Although it is made up of several countries, it is all ruled and governed by King Charles. The borders of the United Kingdom define the area which King Charles rules.

There are many Prophecies in the Bible about the Kingdom of God. They will tell of the Glory of Your Kingdom and speak of Your might, so that all men may know of Your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of Your Kingdom. Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom and Your dominion endures through all generations. (Psalms 145-11-13)

We know that many things will change in this world but the Kingdom of God will last forever and the dominion of God will never cease. God is, and forever shall be, the Ruler of the entire universe. How great are His signs, how mighty His wonders! His Kingdom is an Eternal Kingdom; His Dominion endures from generation to generation. (Daniel 4:3)

After the Rapture of the Church and the seven-year Great Tribulation, Jesus will return and set up His Kingdom on earth. This is called the Second Coming of Jesus. At this time, Jesus will rule as King Jesus over the earth and the entire universe which will all be His Kingdom. The God of Heaven will set up a Kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all other Kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. (Daniel 2:44)

Right now we cannot see God’s Kingdom but in the age to come, His Kingdom will be visible to everyone. This is what is known as the Kingdom Age. At this time, everyone will know that Jesus is King. Actually, He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a Name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Revelation 19:16)

At that time everyone in the world; every human being on earth will confess Jesus Christ to be the Son of God; King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” (Romans 14:11) That is when the Kingdom of Heaven will join with the Kingdom of God and everyone will acknowledge and serve King Jesus!

It won’t be long until God will……...….turn the tide
