His Will And His Wisdom

Acts 3:10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

When we look closely at the Miracle of the crippled beggar at the Gate named Beautiful of the Temple, we find some extremely interesting facts that lead us to some questions about Healing.

The man had sat at that same Gate every day for years. I’m sure he had called out to God to heal him many times, but it didn’t happen. Why? I’m also sure that there were other people in the area in need of physical healing. Why didn’t God heal them? Why this one man and why at that particular time?

It is the Will of God that everyone is healed. We know this from Jesus’ Ministry. When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a Word, and healed all who were sick. (Matthew 8:16) And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. (Matthew 12:15) When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His Hands on every one of them and healed them. (Luke 4:40) And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for the Power went out from Him and healed them all. (Luke 6:19)

It’s evident that Jesus Healed everyone who needed healing. Why is that not the case now? Why isn’t everyone healed every time? This is a question that remains to be answered but I believe it has to do with the Will of God and the Wisdom of God, which are two entirely different things.

God’s timing is perfect. He has His reasons for doing what He does, and when He does it. In the case of the crippled beggar at the Gate named Beautiful, God waited for the perfect day and time for this Miracle to occur. This man’s Healing touched and affected many more people than just him.

By the Wisdom of God, the Miracle happened at 3 pm which was the time of the day when the greatest number of people would be at the Temple for the afternoon sacrifices. Every one of these folks witnessed the Miracle! God chose this man because He knew what his reaction would be. God knew he would jump up, dance around, go into the Temple, and GIVE HIM PRAISE in a loud voice. This is what God seeks from His children: Praise and Glory!

Everything God does is to bring Praise and Glory to Himself. We can tap into this through faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Our faith in Him and in the Power of God that is in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, is what we have access to as children of God. There is nothing greater. There is nothing more powerful.

The Will of God describes WHAT God wants for all of us. The Wisdom of God defines WHEN it will happen. God has a Plan for whatever it is you need. Hold on. Don’t give up. His Wisdom will prevail and His Will shall come to pass. Hallelujah!

The Wisdom of God will……….turn the tide
