Holy Spirit

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

In the above Passage of Scripture, we find the Trinity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We see here that the Father sends the Holy Spirit to us. Likewise, He sent the Son. For God so loved the world that He sent His only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

God, the Father sent His Son to die on the Cross for the sins of the world. Then He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell with the spirit of every born-again believer in Christ. He becomes one with our spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity and He has been sent to teach us all things. He is our Divine Helper in every aspect of our lives.

Jesus spoke about this. I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (John 16:12-13)

Many denominations totally discount the Work of the Holy Spirit but to do this is to discount the Work of God, the Father. The Word of God is perfectly clear on this, but the enemy has come to destroy the faith in believers. I say to you, read the Word of God for yourself. Do your own studying. What does the Bible say about the Holy Spirit of God? If you believe the Bible to be the True Word of God in written form, then you must believe it!

Jesus spoke of the Holy Spirit who would come and dwell within us. If you love Me, keep My Commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:15-17)

Prior to Jesus going to the Cross of Calvary, people did not have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling inside them. Certain people (the Prophets) were given Dreams, Visions, and Words by the Holy Spirit but He did not dwell within them constantly like He does believers in the New Covenant.

The Holy Spirit occasionally VISITED some Old Testament believers. The Holy Spirit CONTINUALLY DWELLS in the heart of every New Testament believer. There is a HUGE difference! Jesus suffered and died on the Cross to atone for our sins AND give us continual access to the Teaching, Counseling, and Guidance of the Holy Spirit of God!

I pray you understand that Jesus died on the Cross so you can spend eternity in Heaven AND have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling with you 24/7 NOW! This is the Abundant Life Jesus was talking about when He said, I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

This understanding will……….turn the tide……….in your life.

Thank you Jesus!         Doreen
