Matthew 3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the Heavens were opened to Him and He saw the Spirit descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

 

Jesus was 100% man and 100% God. Although He was human, He had no sin nature because his Father was the Holy Spirit of God. We know that He was born with great knowledge because, at the young age of twelve, He sat with the teachers and had a tremendous understanding of the things of God. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. (Luke 2:47)

 

Although Jesus had great knowledge and understanding, He did not perform Miracles as a child. In fact, He did not perform a single Miracle until He was baptized in water, the Holy Spirit of God descended upon Him and He had been tempted by the devil. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the Heavens were opened to Him and He saw the Spirit descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. (Matthew 3:16)

 

The point I am trying to get to is that we can be educated, have great knowledge, be born again, baptized in water, and have overcome temptation but without the Power of the Holy Spirit, we will accomplish nothing supernatural for the Kingdom of God. If Jesus couldn’t do it, how can we? We can't.

 

The Holy Spirit gives every believer direction and guidance in their ministry. Without Him they are just operating as a human being that has no supernatural ability. It is no more than the works of man. If we want to see supernatural events happen then we must be led by the Holy Spirit.

 

The Words Jesus spoke to the 500 people gathered together that day were not a mere suggestion. He COMMANDED them to stay in Jerusalem and wait for the Promise of the Father. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the Promise of the Father, which said He, you have heard of Me. (Acts 1:4)

 

The Holy Spirit has the Power to….…….turn the tide
