Implication Of Precedence
January 4, 2022, 3:00 AM

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the Last Days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.

When Jesus Ascended into Heaven (where He currently resides) the Holy Spirit was sent to abide in the heart of every believer. The Holy Spirit is the POWER of God! If we are believers in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ, we have the POWER OF GOD dwelling within us! The question is: For what?

Why would God put His Spirit inside us for nothing? He wouldn’t. Within you is the Power of God. What are you doing with that Power?

My friends, we are the Church. We are the Body of Christ alive today on this earth, filled with the Power of God through the Presence of the Holy Spirit to bring about change in the lives of anyone and everyone who comes into our midst.

Is that what we are doing? Is that what we see happening every week in church? I’m afraid not. Luke understood this and he wrote that we are to continue all that Jesus began both to do and to teach. (Luke 1:1) The keyword in this statement is “began.” The Greek word is archomai. It means, “through the implication of precedence.”

Therefore, the ministry of the Church should be first and foremost in the hearts and minds of the people and what was done by Jesus sets the precedent for us now. If Jesus did it, we can (and should) do it now.

Again, the same Holy Spirit that Worked in the man Christ Jesus is alive and working in us! Jesus did nothing as a man. Every Miracle He performed was by the Power of the Holy Spirit of God. So, why don’t we see mighty Miracles in the church today?

There are several answers to this question and we will touch on them tomorrow. Until then, pray about this question and ask God to reveal to you the answer.

Hold on! God is about to……….turn the tide
