John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

God sent Jesus to die on the Cross for the sins of mankind. Every person is a sinner. All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23) We are not capable of saving ourselves. Therefore, everyone needs a Savior. Jesus is the Savior for all people. He is the bridge between this evil world and God in Heaven. If we want to make Heaven our eternal home, then we must make Jesus our Savior and Lord. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto Righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)

After we are Saved we still continue to sin because we fall to the temptation of the enemy. He is out to get us and unfortunately, many times, he is successful. So, how do we overcome the enemy in this life? Jesus told us the answer to this question and the Apostle John wrote it in his Gospel.

In the 15th Chapter of the Book of John we read that Jesus said I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) The key words in this statement are “abide in Me, and I in him.” This is one of the most powerful Passages of Scripture because it tells us how to be victorious over Satan.

To be Saved one must believe in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. While it is important to believe that Jesus was born of a Virgin, that belief will not save anyone. We believe that Jesus lived a sin-free life and performed many Miracles, Signs, and Wonders but that belief will not save anyone either. We must place our faith in the fact that Jesus was the Lamb of God Who died on the Cross as a Sacrifice for our sins. This is the Saving Faith that is required of us by God.

If the Blood of Jesus was enough to wash our sins away and provide us a home in Heaven, then surely it is also enough to break the power of the enemy in our lives while we are alive. Sin is sin. Whether it is past sin or present sin doesn’t matter.

When we abide in Christ (that is maintain our faith in Him Crucified for all sin) then we can live the Abundant Life Jesus promised. I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

Faith in Christ Crucified will………..turn the tide ……….in your life today!
