Luke 18:8  Nevertheless when the Son of Man comes, shall He find faith on the Earth?

 

Jesus is coming back and when He does, will He find faith on Earth? That is a good question and Jesus, Himself, asked it. Yesterday, we discussed how the spirit of unbelief has so infiltrated the church that there is very little true faith in the Body of Christ.

 

This is what is prophesied in the Word of God, but I don’t believe any true believer wants to be stricken with the spirit of unbelief. I think people “want” to believe, but they don’t because of fear. They are afraid of how they will look, what might happen, and what others will say.  

 

This is why we see little to no moving of the Holy Spirit in the church setting today. Nothing happens there because the faith of the people is diminishing by the day. The spirit of fear, doubt and unbelief are the strongest spirits operating in the church today and the spirits of legalism and religion are right up there with them.

 

Year after year the church becomes weaker and the people are starved for the moving of the Holy Spirit and His Presence. Church used to be the place where great moves of God would take place; but no more. Most churches today are places of fellowship, and that’s good! Hebrews 10:25 tells us, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Fellowship with like believers is an intricate part of the Body of Christ, but without the Presence and Moving of the Holy Spirit, such gatherings are no more than ritualistic meetings of friends who enjoy each other’s company. 

 

God is looking for people with REAL faith to believe He still performs miracles! He is searching for the remnant who believe God is STILL everything His Word says He is. God wants to move among His people. He wants the people to feel His Presence. He wants to draw people to Salvation, heal the sick, and set the captives free. He wants to do all this and more! The problem is that he is not welcome to do anything. In most cases, He is not even welcome to come inside. 

 

Week after week as people come here to Caney we hear this same comment: “I don’t know what it is, but I’m drawn to this place.”  I have come to the conclusion that people are drawn here because the Presence of the Holy Spirit is welcome here and He is free to operate and move in any way He sees fit.  

 

Many (if not most) of these people have never felt the Presence of God before. They have sat in church their whole life and never been in the Presence of the Holy Spirit. Everything they have is “head knowledge” and they have NEVER really felt the Presence of God. When they come here, they feel Him in their midst and they don’t want to leave. They are drawn back time and time again because He is here!

 

He can be with you wherever you are. As a start, I would encourage you to REALLY pray against, and rebuke the spirits of fear, doubt, unbelief, legalism and religion in your home and church. Do this in the Name of Jesus and release the Spirit of Faith.   Let Faith loose and welcome the Holy Spirit to come in and operate. He will grant you this request! Give God a try. You will be surprised at what happens!

 

When God’s people return to REAL faith, He will……..turn the tide
