In Remembrance Of Me

2 Corinthians 11:23-25 That the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My Body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This Cup is the New Covenant in My Blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

As New Covenant believers, our faith must be anchored squarely in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary. Our entire reason for being and existence is based on His Work on the Cross.

Perfectly said, His Name is The Lord Jesus Christ. The word “The” sets Him apart as The One and Only in all of time who could fulfill this Position. The word “Lord” describes Him as Jehovah. It tells of His deity as God Almighty. The word “Jesus” means Savior. No one else could do what Jesus did for us. He paid the price required by God the Father for the sins of the whole world. He and He alone is our Savior. The word “Christ” proclaims the Anointing of God that is upon Him. It is the Anointing that breaks the yoke of sin off people. (Isaiah 10:27)

And so there you have it! We simply call Him Jesus but that is almost a nickname as it is a shortened version of Who He really is and What He should mean to us every day, all day long. Let us never forget or lose sight of Who Jesus is and What He did for us. He is our all in all. He is our everything. He is The Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit would cause us to remember Him and His Words. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:25-26)

Jesus also told the Disciples to take of the Bread and the Cup (The Lord’s Supper; Communion) and when they did so, remember Him and His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary. His Body was broken and His Blood was spilled out for us. Remember that. Never forget it. Thank you Holy Spirit for causing us to remember all that Jesus said and did. He is our all in all. He is our everything. He is The Lord Jesus Christ.

He alone can…...….turn the tide

Remembering Him always,         Doreen
