Isaiah 1:7-9 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire; strangers devour your land in your presence; and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. So the daughter of Zion is left as a booth in a vineyard, as a hut in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. Unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been made like Gomorrah.
America is not mentioned in the Bible. However, God’s Word is for all His people wherever they may live. The Prophesy of Isaiah is profound and one would have to be blind of the current world affairs not to see the relevance to America today.
It speaks of a desolate place. Desolate is defined as: Very sad and lonely especially because someone you love has died or left. Showing the effects of abandonment and neglect. Dilapidated; barren, lifeless; devoid of warmth, comfort, or hope. Gloomy.
God has not left America. America has left God. Therefore, our country is in a desolate spiritual condition. However, there is hope and we read of it in the ninth verse. Unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been made like Gomorrah. The Lord always leaves a small remnant of believers. America has such a remnant and what was once a VERY small remnant is now growing. Persecution and fear always causes people to return to the only thing that is faithful and true: God, who is our Creator, Hope and our Salvation.
It’s interesting to watch the people in America. Even those who are spiritually lost know something is not right in our country. They know the ways of Islam are evil and are searching for that which is good. Without God there is nothing good. He is the essence of all that is good. This is a basic spiritual truth but many Americans today have turned away from all things spiritual. This makes for a ripe harvest for the Kingdom of God because everything in the natural is sure to fail.
The only source of Victory is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Work on the Cross of Calvary. Every day we see more and more Americans turning back to God as our country’s current leadership continues to move farther and farther away from Him and His Word.
We, the Remnant must stand like never before and keep speaking the Name of Jesus as we claim Victory for America. This is not the time for silence among God's people. Now is the time to speak and speak loudly for Christ.
The place to be in America today is as a part of the Remnant. Together we stand strong for Christ in America. Together we claim Victory in His Name. The Remnant in America is growing. The harvest is plentiful; be a worker!
God will……..turn the tide
