In The Fullness Of Time

Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

In this part of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Galatians, he talks about the fullness of time. This refers to “God’s time.” God does things when He chooses to, not when we want Him to.

To fully understand this is to completely put ourselves aside and live in total faith in the fact that God is in control. God’s timing is perfect because He is perfect. God knows all and sees all. His Plan is in place and has been since the foundation of the Earth. How we become a part of His Plan is up to us. Every person CHOOSES whether or not to be a part of God’s Plan for mankind.

To die to self and live for Christ is to believe that God’s plan for our lives is far superior to anything we can dream up for ourselves. It is also better than what our parents, or anyone else, may plan for us. We are God’s creation, created by Him to worship and serve Him at this particular time in human history. We are living at this time for a specific purpose.  Like Esther, we are here for such a time as this.

To purposely step outside your own comprehension of yourself, and step into who you are in Christ and His Plan and Purpose for your life, is to begin to walk in the fullness of His Love for you. This is to walk in the Spirit of God and live a life directed by Him.

If God knows all and sees all, it would be foolish to not seek His direction. This seems so simple but in fact, it is not simple to do. As we quickly approach Christmas Day, take time to ponder and meditate on the phrase, “In the fullness of time.”

In the fullness of time, God sent forth His son.

In the fullness of time, God created you and assigned to you your name.

In the fullness of time, God revealed Himself to you in such a way that you could understand.

In the fullness of time, God drew you to Himself and brought you to the place of Salvation.

In the fullness of time, God prepared a place in Heaven for you.

In the fullness of time, God will do what only He can do.

In the fullness of time, God will……..turn the tide

Incredibly grateful for God’s fullness of time!      Doreen
