Incarnation

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the Mystery of Godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by Angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in Glory.

Yesterday was Christmas Day. This is the day we remember and celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. The theological terms for His Birth are the Manifestation in the flesh and Incarnation.

Manifestation is defined as something not previously seen, becoming apparent. The word Incarnation literally means the in-fleshing of the Eternal Son of God—Jesus. It is the “putting on of flesh and blood” and becoming fully human while being fully God simultaneously. When Jesus took on humanity as the person of Jesus of Nazareth, He became the Eternal Second Person of the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The most common Verse of Scripture defining the Incarnation is John 1:14 The Word became flesh.

The Apostle John later wrote three short Books in the Bible: 1 John; 2 John; 3 John. He opens 1 John with the following statement. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life—the Life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that Eternal Life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. (1 John 1:1-4)

Jesus has always been. He was there in the beginning with God the Father. He has always been with God the Father but in different forms. He was (and is) the Word of God. Then He was Manifested and for 33 years, took on the form of a human being. He now sits at the Right Hand Throne of God the Father in Heaven and operates as the Head of the Church, Intercessor, and Advocate for all believers. He will soon be returning to Rapture His Church. Then, Jesus will rule and reign over the entire world for 1,000 years as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Jesus was, is, and forever shall be the Second Person of the Holy Trinity; the Triune God. He takes on different forms but He will always be 100% God. The Apostle Paul made several statements on this subject. Speaking of Jesus, Paul wrote He is the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation. (Colossians 1:15) For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, Who is the Head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:9-10)

Do you know Jesus personally? Do you believe in His Incarnation and Manifestation? Do you believe that He loves you enough to go to the Cross to Atone for all your sins? He did! He did it all for you because He loves you so much! How much do you love Him? We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Give your heart to Jesus. He will………..turn the tide……..in your life!

Oh, how I love Jesus.         Doreen
