Interior Walls

Isaiah 49:16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My Hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

We are created in three parts: spirit, soul and body. Our bodies are the house where our spirit and soul dwell. The great Apostles Paul and Peter referred to the body as a tent because it is temporary. Peter said, Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as the Lord Jesus Christ showed me. (2 Peter 1:13-14)

The Apostle Paul wrote: For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. (2 Corinthians 5:4)

Our tent (body) is ours to live in. It is our earthly home, if you will. It has many rooms inside. Like a house, the various rooms have distinct purposes. Yesterday we initiated a discussion on the deep hurts and pain we have in our house due to our past. These are the areas in our house the Holy Spirit wants to touch and clean up.

We have the ability to hide these things behind thick walls because they are painful and we don’t want them to come to the surface. The human mind can block certain things out but the pain is still there. We can choose to not think about it, but at night it will creep out of the closet, make it’s way through the thick walls and torment us. This is the work of the enemy but the Holy Spirit has the Power to remove that thing completely. We can hide it and pretend it doesn’t exist but it is still there. God can totally remove it and deliver us from the pain.

It doesn’t matter how thick the walls are or how long they have been there, He can break them down. God knows about very wall in our house. The Prophet Isaiah wrote: See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My Hands; Your walls are continually before Me. (Isaiah 49:16)

We can hide things from ourselves and other people but we cannot hide anything from God. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3) God loves us and He wants to remove and repair every sin, pain and hurt from us. He is ready to do it. All we have to do is let Him.

Oh how He wants to……….turn the tide……..in your life.

Thank you Lord, Doreen
