It's Time!

Acts 4:19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the Sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.

After a time of deliberation, the Sanhedrin emerged and sentenced Peter and John to never again speak or minister to the people in the Name of Jesus. Peter’s response but the ball right back in their court. He said, “Whether it is right in the Sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.”

In the first place, no one talked back to the Sanhedrin. They were the ruling body over the Nation of Israel! But as powerful as they were, they were not more powerful than God or the Word of God. In essence, Peter said, “So, do you believe we are to listen and obey you more than we are God?”

This is exactly where we are today. The government is telling us what we must believe and do while the Word of God speaks directly against it. Also, religious heads tell us what to preach and believe in while the Word of God says something entirely different. Who are we listening to? Who are we obeying? We cannot sit on both sides of this fence.

You cannot obey the Word of God and conform to the rules and regulations of any denomination or government entity that goes against it. We simply cannot do that. This is what Peter said and this is what we better be saying now!

Homosexuality is the perfect example at this time. The government says we have to accept this lifestyle while the Word of God calls it an abomination in the Eyes of God. Entire denominations are split over this issue. Half are agreeing with the world and accept homosexuality while the other half are standing strong on the Word of God.

My friends, the Word of God is black and white. Everything is either Good or evil. The Word of God makes that determination. This is why the government ban the Bible in schools back in the 1960s. If the Bible is closed and no one is reading it, they can do what they want. The Bible must be reopened, read, and lived by if we are to be known as God’s people.

We must take a stand for the Word of God and not waver. I have been saying this on this platform for over ten years and yet I see people caving to the word of man all around me. No! We cannot continue to cave. We must stand and stand strong. There is no middle ground. You either stand for the Word of God or you stand with the world and all its evil.

Let me suggest you read this and take it to heart: Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter? Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, Woe to men valiant for missing intoxicating drink, Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away justice from the Righteous man! Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom will ascend like dust; because they have rejected the law of the Lord of Hosts, and despised the Word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore the anger of the Lord is aroused against His people; He has stretched out His Hand against them and stricken them, and the hills trembled. Their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets.

If you think God is bluffing, think again. God is Love. He loves every one of us. His Mercy endures forever and He stands ready to forgive anyone who comes to Him in true repentance. BUT, He is also a God of Judgment and He chastens those He loves which is everyone.

It’s time to get right with the Lord God Almighty.

He is about to……..….…….turn the tide

Let this be a word to the wise,         Doreen
