Jesus Is Our Access To The Father

Psalms 100:4 Enter into His Gates with thanksgiving, and into His Courts with praise; be thankful unto Him and bless His Name.

Prayer is an extremely important aspect of the Christian life because Christianity is not a religion but rather a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. To build a relationship with someone, we must communicate with them.

Prayer is God’s way for us to communicate with Him and Jesus is the liaison between us and our Heavenly Father. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6) Jesus is our access to the Father. That’s why we pray in Jesus' Name.

The Apostle Paul wrote about this to the Romans. It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the Right Hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (Romans 8:34) Jesus is our intercessor. He speaks to the Father on our behalf.

We read in the 100th Chapter of the Book of Psalms about entering into the Presence of God. Of course, when this Psalm was written, it was referring to the actual building which was the Temple of God where the Presence of God resided. Today, we are the Temple of God. The Holy Spirit of God dwells inside us and we can have constant access to Him. This access comes by way of our communication with Him which is once again, prayer.

While the Holy Spirit dwells within us, we still are to pray to God in the Name of Jesus. Then God will dispatch the Holy Spirit to act on our behalf. Our access to God the Father and the Holy Spirit comes to us by way of our faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. If we do not believe that Jesus died on the Cross so we can have this access, we will never be able to enter into the Throne Room of God.

When Jesus gave up His Spirit as He hung on the Cross, He said, It is finished. (John 19:30) His Work on earth was finished. He had completed what the Father sent Him to do. His shed blood paid the price for all the sin of the world and anyone who believes in Him has access to the Father by way of Jesus.

When Jesus walked this earth His followers walked with Him. They went everywhere He went and they watched as He communicated with people and performed Miracles in their lives. They spoke to Him and had a relationship with Him. Jesus was in constant communication with the Father who dispatched the Holy Spirit to perform countless Miracles of Healing and Deliverance.

Even then, Jesus was the intercessor between the people and God. Nothing has changed in that regard. Jesus is still our intercessor. He is still there sitting at the Right Hand of the Father waiting for us to pray and communicate with Him. His Finished Work on the Cross gives us access to the Father through our faith in what Jesus accomplished.

Faith in the Finished Work of Christ will……….turn the tide……….in your life.
