John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
God has a Plan for everyone. We are all created by Him, in His Image, for a specific purpose. Satan hates God and God’s Kingdom which is God’s people. In short, Satan hates you and me. He sets out to destroy us and God’s Plan for our lives because he does not want the Kingdom of God to grow.
What was Jesus talking about when He said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness (Matthew 6:33)? What is the Kingdom of God? The Kingdom of God is a spiritual reality known only by those who trust and believe in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary.
Every person was created to live in the Kingdom of God and it is God’s Will that everyone does. However, sadly, this is not the case. In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said Enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
The narrow gate that Jesus spoke of is faith in Him. That is to believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent by God to suffer and die a horrible death on the Cross of Calvary because that’s what our Heavenly Father required so that you and I might be Redeemed.
Sin is a horrible thing. It robs us of everything God has planned for us. Sin has been the issue for mankind since that fateful day when Adam and Eve fell. Just as he deceived Eve, Satan seeks to deceive us by planting thoughts in our minds that God’s Word is not true. Just as he told Eve that God did not really mean what He said, he tells us the very same thing. Satan is a liar. Everything he tells us is a lie. There is no truth in him. He comes ONLY to kill, steal, and destroy us. That is his motive and he is very good at what he does.
However, when we BELIEVE in Who Christ is and What He accomplished on the Cross of Calvary, the Holy Spirit of God will then go to work to help us. He is the Helper Jesus spoke of in John 14:26. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
The Holy Spirit is the Helper to everyone who believes in Christ. He is the Power Source of God to do great and mighty things in us and through us and it is our faith in Christ and Him Crucified that unleashes that Power. Without faith in Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross we are spiritually lost and on that wide road that leads to death and destruction.
This is where Satan wants us to remain. That’s why he plants lies in our minds and tells us that God’s Word is not true and that God does not really mean what He says. Our faith in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified is our ticket into the Kingdom of God. He is the Way in. He is the ONLY Way in.
The Kingdom of God is a wonderful place to spend our earthly life. It is the best thing our Heavenly Father has for us here on Earth. Believe in Who Jesus is. Believe in What Jesus did for you. Seek the Kingdom of God first above all else in your life and you will see the Holy Spirit work like never before. He can do what no man can do. Hallelujah!
