Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your Hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your Right Hand will save me.
We are indeed living in perilous times. The spiritual warfare is raging over America like never before. If we were able to see what it looks like, it would probably resemble the horrific Star Wars battles or that of the video games our children play today.
Our battle is not against flesh and blood, although much blood is being shed today as the enemy of God is fighting like never before. There are many demonic spirits at war against the Righteous Spirits of God and they are all fierce and dangerous. However, I believe the mightiest of the demonic spirits is the spirit of the antichrist.
This spirit is exactly what its name says it is: against Christ. It has latched onto so many people and has, in fact, possessed them. We see it everywhere, as Christians are being persecuted around the world today. America has always been a safe haven, but that could change in a short period of time.
Many don’t have a clue what is going on. They are going about their daily lives believing nothing could ever happen in America, but they are wrong. God stands ready to save us from this time of trouble but the Body of Christ must reach out to Him in faith.
In the above Passage of Scripture, it is interesting to note that the writer, David, realizes he is walking in the midst of trouble but he has the faith to believe God will “revive” him. The word “revive” means to wake up or return to a state of awareness. This is what needs to happen in the Body of Christ in America. As a whole we are spiritually asleep as the war rages all around us.
The second part of the verse indicates “Who” will save us. It reads You will stretch out Your Hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your Right Hand will save me. Jesus sits at the Right Hand of the Father. Jesus is God’s Right Hand. It is He who will save us from these troubled times.
Some people are praying for God to “rescue” them from this time of trouble, but first, they must be “revived.” The Church must WAKE UP! Spiritual revival must take place first. There is a movement across our country for the Church to be awakened, stand, and speak. Not necessarily for their rights as Americans but to stand up for God’s Right Hand; Jesus Christ. He is our only hope of Salvation and Victory over the enemy, Satan.
Jesus said, If I be lifted up, I’ll draw all men to me. Lost souls are not being drawn to Salvation in Christ because the Church is not lifting up His Name.
This war we are facing in America is spiritual. It is Satan's evil spirit of antichrist manifested against the Mighty Name of Jesus. It is really no contest since Jesus defeated Satan and all his demons on the Cross of Calvary, but the Body of Christ is not lifting up His Name.
Let us lift up the Mighty Name of Jesus. We can take Him at His Word. He said, If I be lifted up, I'll draw all men to me. If we will, He will. He promises to revive us and save us but we must live for Him and lift up His Name.
