John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
As the Apostle Paul observed the people in Athens, he found them to be educated and entrenched in philosophy. The great philosophers were their teachers so as a result, they were idol worshipers. They had many gods and actually worshipped buildings, statues, and monuments.
While we may find this ridiculous, how many people today can only “find God” in beautiful cathedrals with stained glass windows or steeples on the roof? The thought process is: If a “church” is not built a certain way, it is not a church at all. This my friends, is idolatry and the worship of a building and exactly the same as the Athenians in Paul’s time.
Although the Athenians sat under the teaching of the Philosopher, Aristotle, they really didn’t learn the true use of logic. What is logic? Logic is understanding a sequence of events that predict a particular consequence. Logic makes things make sense.
When we examine things with a Biblical view, everything is perfectly logical and makes sense. This is the way Paul ministered to the Athenians. He used their own ammunition against them, so to speak. They professed to be logical so he spoke to them logically taking them all the way back to the subject of Creation.
Everything created must have a creator. Things just don’t appear out of nowhere. Clearly, the creator is more powerful than the creation. After all, the creator created the creation. Therefore, the creator is far greater than his own creation. The creation can never gain control over its creator. Rather the opposite is true. Example: A man and woman have a baby. In this example, the man and woman are the creators and the baby is the creation. Who is greater the man and woman or the baby? Who has authority, the man and woman or the baby? In actuality, the baby cannot even thrive and live without its creator.
Human beings are God’s Creation. We are His Creation because He created us. We did not evolve from monkeys! If that were the case, there would be no monkeys on earth. They would have all evolved into people. The Word of God says that God created us. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:26-27)
Understanding this, it makes perfect sense and is logical that we believe in Creation. The fact is, God is our Creator. Therefore, He is far greater than we are. He is the Creator of everything including all the Angels, both Righteous and fallen. He created them all. That means He created Lucifer making Him far greater than Lucifer (Satan).
Therefore, if we believe this, we can logically come to the conclusion that the Power of God is far greater than everything and everyone including Satan, his demons, and all the fallen angels that chose to side with him when he was banished from Heaven.
So, given this logical conclusion, why do we operate in fear? Why are we afraid of demonic spirits? Why do we allow Satan to attack us and win? Why do we hide in the face of evil when we have the Power of the Creator of Heaven and Earth standing with us? It doesn’t make sense, does it?
The Word of God says, Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power and of Love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
Bottom line: Creation demands a Creator. The Creator has authority over the creation. That’s simple logic. God is logical. Think it through and you will come to this logical conclusion.
The logic of God will………..turn the tide……..in this world.
Just being logical, Doreen
