Look What The Lord Has Done

Acts 8:8 And there was great joy in that city.

Whenever the true and full Gospel of Christ is preached and ministered, the result will always be Salvation, Healing, and Deliverance which will ALWAYS bring about great joy!

The word joy is mentioned 192 times in the Word of God. God wants us to be joyful; full of joy. The only true joy is the joy of the Lord. Joy is the second part of the Fruit of the Spirit. But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

When Philip took the Gospel to a city in Samaria and ministered Salvation, Healing, and Deliverance to the people there, they received all that the Lord had for them and they were filled with great joy. When a person is set free from the bondage of sin and shame in their life, they will be happy! Likewise, when we see a friend or relative healed from a sickness or infirmity, everyone is so full of joy they cannot contain it.

The same is true when a demon-possessed or oppressed person has been freed from the attack of the evil (unclean) spirit, their response is ALWAYS great joy! They can’t help it! Joy is the response to everything the Lord has for us.

God wants His children to be joyful. Unfortunately, many Christians are depressed and sad. This is the attack of a demonic spirit that brings about darkness and a lack of joy in a person. If the Gospel of Christ and the Fruit of the Spirit result in joy then anything else is not of God. If it’s not from God then it is from the Devil and is an attack on your spirit.

Are you joyful? If not, please consider all that the Lord has done for you. Look back over your life and think about how the Lord has protected you, provided for you, opened doors for you, healed you, delivered you from sin, etc.

Joy is the result of praise! Therefore, let us give Him all the praise today. He has done great things in our lives. Stop thinking about the hard times and give God praise for seeing you through them. He is worthy of your praise!

The Apostle Paul wrote on this subject to the Philippians. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

We have so much to be thankful for! Look what the Lord has done! Think about (meditate on) all this and be grateful! This will bring about great joy in your life and you WILL give Him praise in your house today!

Only God can…..…….turn the tide
