Acts 9:34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole: Arise, and make your bed. And he arose immediately.

 

While Peter was the instrument used by God to bring about Divine Healing to Aeneas, he was sure to give all credit to Jesus Christ for this Miracle. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole:

 

God still uses people today to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. However, these Miracles are still due to the price Jesus paid on the Cross of Calvary and to Him all credit is due. Who Himself bore our sins in His own Body on the Tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for Righteousness—by Whose stripes you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

 

The Great Prophet, Isaiah, wrote of this as well. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) God gave this Prophecy to Isaiah some 700 years before the Birth of Christ.

 

While the Holy Spirit does impart the Spiritual Gift of Healing to some people, it is not them who is doing the Healing. All Miracles are done by God and some are accomplished through the hands and words of the human beings He chooses. We must never take credit for ANYTHING! Jesus made this perfectly clear when He said, I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

 

Peter was just a branch but he was connected to the Vine. It was the Vine (Jesus) who performed this Miracle of Healing some ten years prior when He gave His Life on the Cross of Calvary. It was there that Jesus paid the price.

 

Aeneas’ healing had already taken place. The Work had already been done. It was included in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross. Peter knew this and brought this Truth to Aeneas who believed it and received his healing. In fact, Aeneas was not just healed from palsy, he was made whole! That means he was forgiven as well! Hallelujah!

 

Faith in The Finished Work of Christ will…..…….turn the tide……….in this world.
