Philippians 4:9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of Peace will be with you.

We are what we believe and our beliefs originate with our thoughts. Both the Holy Spirit of God and Satan, plant thoughts in our minds. It is the thoughts that we believe that shape our belief system and determines our words and actions. Therefore, we must be extremely careful what we allow ourselves to think about.

Can we control our thoughts? We absolutely can control what enters our mind through our eyes and ears but thoughts that are implanted in our heads from Satan and the Holy Spirit are different. We recognize them as thoughts but we are not in control of their entry. However, once a thought enters our minds, we are in control of whether or not it can remain. Therefore, it is our responsibility to take charge of them all, casting out that which we don’t want and holding fast to those we do.

We all have a spiritual war going on inside our heads. Satan is constantly working to plant evil thoughts, while the Holy Spirit plants Righteous ones. Our minds belong to us and are the control center of our bodies, which is the Temple of God. We are responsible for what we allow to enter and remain.

Any thought we allow to remain in our minds, we will think about at times. Therefore, let us heed these words of the Apostle Paul: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the Knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2 Corinthians 10:4-5) Our compliance to this single Passage of Scripture can change our entire lives because we are what we think.

The Apostle Paul also wrote: Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and  the God of Peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9)

Take control of your thoughts. They belong to you. Cast out the negative and evil. Hold on to the Good and Righteous. Dwell on these things. When you do the Peace of God will be with you and………..

God will……….turn the tide……..in your life.
