Mercy And Grace

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain Mercy and find Grace to help in the time of need.

As born again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we have been given the invitation to come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain Mercy and find Grace to help in the time of need. (Hebrews 4:16) Prior to Jesus going to the Cross this was not possible for anyone due to the sin in their lives. Even though they made all the daily sacrifices no one was in the spiritual condition to approach the Throne of Grace because it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

However, the Blood of Jesus Christ, which He shed on the Cross of Calvary, took away the sins of everyone who chooses to believe in Him. John the Baptist introduced Jesus to the world as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)

None of us deserve God’s Mercy or Grace but we can all have it because of the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Mercy is God not giving us what we deserve. We all deserve death because we are all sinners and the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) It is the Mercy of God that saves us from death and eternity in Hell and it is available to us because we believe in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary.

Grace is God giving us what we do not deserve. It is God giving good things to undeserving people. Grace is the Love of God toward us manifested in the Crucifixion of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. If Jesus had not gone to the Cross, there would be no Grace as we know it today for anyone.

Grace is the Power of God to work within us and enable us to live Righteous lives which is the Will of God. Grace enables us to serve in the Kingdom of God and be children of God. Understanding Grace will bring you to a completely different mindset. It will transform your mind as Paul wrote about in Romans. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect Will of God. (Romans 12:2)

God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to the Cross so we could experience His Mercy and Grace. What an awesome God we serve!

Faith in Christ Crucified will……….turn the tide……….in your life.

Thank you Jesus!         Doreen
