Mind Transformation

2 Corinthians 104-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

God has created us with a sound mind. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) God knows our thoughts. He knows what we are thinking. Nothing is hidden from God. He knows our needs before we speak them. He knows everything about everything.

Our thoughts are extremely important because we are what we think. We say what we think. We do what we think. If we don’t allow the Holy Spirit to transform our minds, we will not grow spiritually and become closer to God.

Jesus went to the Cross to defeat all power of the enemy in our lives. This includes our thoughts because, once again, our thoughts predict what we will say and do. Perverted, hateful, revengeful, distorted, lustful, ugly thoughts are not from God because they produce perverted, hateful, revengeful, distorted, lustful, and ugly words and actions. All these types of thoughts are implanted in our minds by Satan.

As believers in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary, we have the ability to rebuke and cast out any thought that is not of God. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Some people do not believe we have the ability to make changes to our thoughts but with the help of the Holy Spirit, all things are possible. If we were unable to do this, the Apostle Paul would not have written the above Passage in his letter to the Corinthians. Paul knew the sins they were committing (which were horrible) were the product of evil thoughts implanted in their minds by the enemy.

We never say or do anything that we have not first thought about it. Other than natural physical reflexes, all our words and actions are the manifestation of our thoughts. Therefore, pay close attention to what you are thinking. Your thoughts today will be your words and actions tomorrow.

Therefore, please take the following Passage of Scripture to heart and ask the Lord to transform your mind. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

The transformation of your mind will…...….turn the tide……..in your life.

Meditating on these things,         Doreen
