It’s human nature to be drawn to people like ourselves and we learn from people like us. A Teacher will listen and learn from another Teacher while a Preacher will accept the Truth proclaimed by another Preacher.
Those Called to be a Prophet will willingly sit under another Prophet just as a Pastor will accept and believe the Word of God from their fellow Pastors. Those who are visionary in nature will seek and be able to see the Vision of an Apostle.
It is the Will of God that every person on earth hear the Message of the Gospel of Christ, come to Repentance, and be Saved and born again. The Lord is not slack concerning His Promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to Repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
God loves everyone and wants the best for all of us. He gave His Best; His Only Begotten Son; Jesus. God sacrificed His Own Son on a cruel Cross so we can be Redeemed, live an Abundant Life here on earth, and make Heaven our eternal home. This is the Will of God for every single person.
God has always used people to reach other people. This is how He operates. While we can (and do) find God in nature, Salvation comes through hearing the Gospel Message preached and taught. In Paul’s letter to the Romans, he said, For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of Peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
It is the Will of God for everyone to hear the Gospel Message. He uses people just like you and me to accomplish this. That’s why we are born with certain Gifts. Whatever comes naturally to you has been given to you by God. He created you exactly as you are for the sole purpose of building His Kingdom.
Your gifts, talents, and abilities are to be used only for His Purpose, not in the world. Anything else would be a misuse of what God created you with. When we really stop and give this some thought, we will come to the place of repentance because we have all misused what we have been given.
Lord, forgive me for my misuse of what you have given me. I know this to be a sin and I am so sorry. Direct me in how to properly use what You have Blessed me with. Open the doors for me once again so that I may see and take the opportunity to tell people about Christ. You gave me your Light that I may let it shine everywhere I go. Help me to do this today and every day. I want to be what You created me to be. I cannot do it without your help. I know that without You, I am nothing, but I also know that with You, all things are possible. I offer myself as a vessel for You to use however you choose. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.
The Gospel of Christ will……..….turn the tide……….in this world.
