Ephesians 4:22-24 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true Righteousness and Holiness.

 

If our goal in life is to please God, then we must be free from sin because we know that God hates all sin. How can we be free from sin when we are all born with the sin nature? God made a Way for this to happen and that Way is faith in the Sacrifice of His Son on the Cross of Calvary.

 

Therefore, to live a life pleasing to God, we must truly believe in all that Jesus accomplished for us on the Cross and maintain our faith in that Finished Work. You see, the shed Blood of Jesus Redeemed us from all sin. Our faith in His shed Blood on the Cross Redeems us from the Wrath of God and eternity in Hell. Hallelujah!

 

However, that’s not all! We must also understand that His shed Blood ALSO defeated all power of Satan in our lives now, while we are alive on this earth. We do not have to be a victim of the attack of the Devil. When we place our faith in all the Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, the Holy Spirit will go to work in our lives to bring about Sanctification.

 

When we place our faith in Christ Crucified, the Holy Spirit will change our desires. He will give us new desires! The things we used to do will no longer be desirable to us. We just won’t want to do them anymore. It’s amazing and sometimes unbelievable, but this is the Sanctifying Work of the Holy Spirit of God.

 

The moment we are truly Saved and born again the Spirit of God comes to dwell inside us and He goes to work to bring about change. When we give ourselves over to Him and relinquish the old man, He will do this for us. He will give us the ability to be the new man. It doesn’t happen all at once but one thing at a time, our desires will change and we will become more like Christ. Hallelujah!

 

 

Keep your faith in Christ Crucified and God will……….turn the tide……….in your life.
