Revelation 3:15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

 

Jesus’ letter to the church in Laodicea is the seventh and final letter. Sadly, this short letter describes the majority of the modern church, and the warning of God’s Judgment is serious.

 

We must always remember that each of us is the church. Jesus is not addressing a building or a cathedral. He is speaking to each and every born-again believer in Him. Our relationship with Him is personal in nature. It’s between Him and us. It involves no one else. We will each stand before God and give account so it doesn’t matter what anyone else believes or is doing. Your relationship with God is all about you and Him. No one else has anything to do with it.

 

God is a jealous God. He wants us all to Himself. He wants to come first in our lives. He has given His only Son to die on the Cross for us and because of this, He deserves our complete love and devotion. The Apostle Paul called this our reasonable service. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1)

 

When we fully surrender all that we are to God in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, He will send the Holy Spirit to perform Miracles in our lives that will exceed anything we can imagine or think. God is worthy of our total devotion and yet most people take Him for granted and think they are serving Him because they sit in a building called the church for a few hours every week, serve on a committee, and post a few spiritual things on their social media page. This, my friends, is the current condition of most of the church today and is not at all acceptable by God. This is being lukewarm and God will not tolerate it.

 

Jesus said what will happen to lukewarm believers. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (Revelation 3:16) For those of you who believe you are going to live like this and also make Heaven your eternal home, I ask you to please read the 2nd and 3rd Chapters of the Book of Revelation and seek the Holy Spirit for complete and true understanding.

 

It doesn’t get more clear than this. Jesus said it. The question is, do you believe it? I pray you do because He’s coming back and then it will be too late. Today is the day to TOTALLY surrender your life to Him. He gave His all for you. Give your all to Him. That is the relationship God wants to have with you. Are you willing?

 

 

If so, He will……….turn the tide……….in your life.
