No Fear; Only Faith

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

Fear is one of Satan’s greatest weapons against us. Actually, fear is at the root of everything we worry about. Fear is a lack of faith. It is the opposite of faith. When we have faith in Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross, we will have no fear.

People worry about a lot of things and it is all based on fear from the enemy. Fear robs us of our Peace, Joy, Contentment, and most of all, our Faith. John wrote that fear is the opposite of Love and that Love will cast out fear. He called fear torment, which it is.

Fear is a demonic emotion that will absolutely take over your whole being if not cast out. Consider the world today. Take a step back and watch the people locked up in their homes because they are afraid of going outside. When they do go out, they wear a mask over their face and stay away from people because they are afraid of catching a virus. This is all nothing more than a lack of faith.

Some months back we spent several weeks discussing the Benefits of being a born-again believer in Christ. Fear is not of God. It is 100% from the Devil. Do we trust God to provide and protect us or not? Do we trust God to heal us and set us free or not?

My friends, we cannot walk in fear and faith at the same time. It’s not possible. To walk in fear is to walk by sight. To live by faith is to be led by the Holy Spirit of God. Fear has no place in the life of the born-again believer.

God wants us to trust Him. He wants us to believe in Him and place our complete faith in the shed Blood of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary. Paul wrote: For we walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Faith in what? What is the object of your faith? In what or whom do you believe and for what do you believe them for?

These are the most important questions you can ever ask yourself because your honest answers reveal your true spiritual condition. Please spend some time in prayer and meditation over these questions and seek the Lord with all your heart. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:8)

Faith in Christ alone will……….turn the tide……..in your life.

No fear! Faith in Christ alone.         Doreen
