No More Excuses

Mark 8:34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His Disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me.”

God places many things inside every human being at the time of their creation. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your Works, and that my soul knows very well. (Psalm 139)

Also, in the heart of every person is the knowledge of their Creator. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

It is God’s Will that every single person on earth believe in Him and be saved. The Lord is not slack concerning His Promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

In addition, God makes Himself known to mankind through the beauty of His Creation and His Power to set the entire universe in motion and run perfectly. For since the Creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal Power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)

God loves us all so much that He sent His Only Son to die on the Cross for our sins. For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

The bottom line is, that God loves everyone and He wants everyone to love Him but we each have to make the choice to do this. He has put in all of us something called freewill. This is our ability to make decisions and choices. We can choose to believe in God or we can choose not to. We can choose to be obedient or disobedient.

God wants us to choose to love Him and place our faith in Him. This is His Will for all of us. In Mark 8:34 we read: When He had called the people to Himself, with His Disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Right here we see Jesus giving the people the choice to follow Him or not. They all had the ability to choose and so do we.

Given all the evidence of the Life, Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus, there is no reason why anyone should die lost. The Attorney, Lee Strobel, tried to disprove the Life of Christ but his study resulted in his own Salvation. He was unable to disprove anything about Jesus Christ. The more he tried to disprove Him, the more evidence he found that proved Him to be the Messiah. In the end, he was saved and has gone on to write books and minister the Gospel to many people. His first book was “A Case For Christ.” I suggest you get several copies of this book and give them to people who choose to not believe.

Until we take our last breath on this earth, we can choose to believe in Jesus. Every day God gives us another chance to repent and follow His Son. However, there are no more chances on the other side of death. Hell is real and forever is a very long time. Today is the day of Salvation. Tomorrow could be too late.

Believe and God will……….turn the tide……….in your life.

The choice is yours,         Doreen
