No Prejudice

Mark 16:15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.

As Jesus stood among the crowd of over 500 people and gave them instructions for their Ministry, He said: But you shall receive Power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the Earth. (Acts 1:8)

The Commission for the Church is to go out and preach the Gospel of Christ, EVERYWHERE. Jesus’ Words spoken to the Church in the First Chapter of Acts are extremely profound. and you shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the Earth. These Words make it very clear that we are not to avoid or skip over anyone. Their race, ethnicity, or social status makes absolutely no difference. Everyone needs Jesus because everyone is lost, dying, and headed to Hell without accepting Him as their Savior and Lord.

The Jews hated the Samaritans. For Jesus to specifically include these people in Him instructions to them was telling indeed. There is no place for prejudice in the Church. Jesus went to the Cross for the sins of ALL people. God sees us all the same and so should we.

Unfortunately, there are black churches, white churches, Asian churches, Latin churches, etc. but this is not God’s Vision for His Church. The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ should include people of all races, levels of education, and economic status. There are only two types of people in the Eyes of God: Saved and unsaved. We are all one or the other and that is the only thing that matters.

Whether we are Saved or unsaved is what determines our eternal destiny. Our bodies, no matter the color of our skin, how much money we have, or our position in life, will die and return to dust. However, our spirits will live on forever. Spirits do not have a color. Spirits are either Saved and have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, or their not. As long as we are breathing we have the opportunity to be Saved and have our name written in this Book. After we die, our chances for this are over. There are no second chances after death.

God does not send anyone to Hell. We choose Hell by rejecting Jesus as our Savior. He died so we can live eternally in Heaven. The choice belongs to everyone individually. I pray you have made the right choice. Hell is a real place and forever is a very long time.

Jesus went to the Cross to……….turn the tide……..for everyone.

Rejoicing that my name is written in His Book,         Doreen
