Object Of Faith

Romans 3:22 Even the Righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe.

We must have faith to please God. Without faith it is impossible to please Him. (Hebrews 11:6) The question is, faith in what? Faith requires an object. We have faith that a chair will hold us up if we sit in it. In this case, our faith is in the quality of the chair.

The Word of God speaks of faith. We are required to have faith to be Saved. But again, faith in what? The answer to this question is simple. Our faith must be in Jesus Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary because it is there that He overcame the enemy on our behalf. He did the Work so we could have the Victory.

What is faith? The Dictionary defines it as complete trust and confidence in someone or something. We see here that faith requires an object. Faith is the product of believing in something or someone enough to place your full trust in them.

We don’t have to fully understand something to have faith in it. I don’t understand how the Law of Gravity works, but I have faith that if I jump off a building I’m going to fall to the ground. I don’t understand a lot of things that I depend on every day. Again, we don’t have to understand how something works to have faith in it. I have no idea how a telephone works, but I believe I can talk to someone through it. I have faith that it will work.

To be truly Saved and born again, we must believe that Jesus went to the Cross and died for our sins. To walk in Victory over the enemy in this life, what Jesus accomplished on the Cross that day must be the object of our faith. His Blood was required by God the Father to Redeem mankind from sin. Nothing else would do. The Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross is what satisfied the requirement set in place by Father God.

No one else did it because no one else was qualified. Only Jesus. He was Perfect in every way. He was the Perfect Lamb of God who died to take away our sins and set us free from the burden of sin in our lives. Jesus’ Death on the Cross and His Resurrection must be the object of our faith. Nothing else will do. God will accept nothing else.

This is why Paul said We preach Christ Crucified. (1 Corinthians 1:23) Paul also said Even the Righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. (Romans 3:22) What do you believe? In whom do you place your faith and trust?

God sent Jesus to……..….turn the tide...........in this world!

I believe in Christ Crucified.         Doreen
