James 2:19 Even the demons believe—and tremble!

One cannot have faith without facts. But, one can absolutely have facts without faith. Just because we know something and believe it to be a true fact does not mean we have faith in it. It is impossible to have Salvation without knowledge, but having knowledge does not automatically result in Salvation.

James, the half-brother of Jesus, said, Even the demons believe—and tremble! (James 2:19) Satan and all his demons know all about Jesus. They believe that He is the Son of God and that He died on the Cross and rose on the third day. They know all the facts and they believe it to be true. People can know all there is to know about the Bible and have much of it committed to memory and still not be saved. Again, knowledge of facts is not Salvation.

Salvation is granted to those who believe and place their faith TOTALLY in the Person, Jesus Christ. It is believing that this Person, who was perfect in every way, suffered and died on the Cross of Calvary so we don’t have to spend eternity in Hell because of our sins. Salvation is truly believing this enough to want to live for Him and with Him every day out of sheer gratitude for what He has done for us.

It’s not just believing Jesus went to the Cross. It’s believing He went to the Cross for YOU! He did it for YOU because He loves you and wants you to be free from the penalty of sin which is death. He did it because He wants you to live your life filled with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Jesus loves YOU! He loves you enough to give His Life for you so that you may live and not die. He loves you enough to die on a cruel Cross so you can live your life in total Freedom from the bondage of sin and shame. HE LOVES YOU! All He asks is that you believe what He did for you and love Him back. If you believe that He did all this just for YOU, it would be impossible to not be grateful and love Him back.

John, the beloved, said it all when he said, We love Him because He first loved us. (John 4:19) Enough said.

Just love Him. It will……….turn the tide………..in your life.
