Romans 14:23 For whatsoever is not of faith, is sin.
Faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross is the door to all Blessings and Benefits of God. Without faith in Christ, it is impossible to please God. The Apostle Paul wrote much on the subject of faith in his letters to the various churches and the Holy Spirit included these letters in the Canon of Scripture because they all pertain to us today.
For the Word of God is living and active….(Hebrews 4:12) The Bible is meant to be our handbook for life. Every Word is inspired by the Holy Spirit of God and we would be well advised to read it and take it to heart as we go about our daily lives. It is our road map for living. It keeps us out of the ditch and on the right path. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The key to following instructions is to believe they are right and true. When we purchase something that requires assembly, it comes with a set of instructions that give the reader a step-by-step, order in which to put the thing together properly. All the pieces are in the box but if the instructions are not followed, the chances are very good, it will not operate as it should.
And so it is with all of us. We are created in the Image of God for His Purpose. Everything we need in this life has been given to us. We are born with what we need to fulfill God’s purpose for us, and the Word of God is the Instruction Book for living.
The enemy will tell us that we don’t need the Instruction Book. He tries to convince us that God doesn’t really mean what He says and that there are many ways to get things right with God. This is a false teaching that is prevalent in the Church today: All faiths lead to God and Heaven. This is a lie straight from Hell. We know this to be untrue IF we read the Bible. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6) Does God REALLY mean this or will all those people who pray to Allah, Mohammed, Buddha, Confucius, and all the others go to Heaven too? Are they all the same god?
Are all these people praying to the same god as we are? Oprah Winfrey says we are. Is your faith in Oprah Winfrey or in the Holy Word of God? Who are you listening to and who do you believe? Oprah or Holy Spirit?
She claims that all faith is the same. She says that the Muslim’s faith in Mohammed is the same as my faith in Christ. Likewise, the Buddhist’s faith in Buddha is the same faith as the Muslims and mine. Do you believe that?
My friends, all faith is NOT the same. The Word of God tells us that there is only ONE Way to the Father and that is through FAITH in Christ and Him Crucified. Allow me to suggest to you that you stop watching television and start reading the Bible. Put down all those books and pick up the Word of God. Therein lies the real Truth and it will instruct you in Righteous living.
Oh, and by the way, Mohammed, Buddha, Confucius, and all the others are DEAD! Jesus is ALIVE, sitting at the Right Hand of the Father in Heaven. He rose from the dead and He is coming back…..SOON! Believe in Him. Place your faith in the Risen Christ Who shed His Perfect Blood on the Cross for your sins. He is the ONLY Door to the Kingdom of God.
Faith in Christ will…...….turn the tide……….in this world.
