James 4:14 For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Yesterday we drew attention to an extremely important fact: God orchestrates our lives. He moves us from place to place, causes things to happen, and brings people into our lives for specific reasons. Believe it or not, our lives are all about Him and His Kingdom.
Yes, God absolutely loves us and wants us to be saved and live an abundant life, but in addition, He has a Plan for each of us and if we have even a mustard seed of faith, it will all play out beautifully. We all start out living in the world but there is no abundant life for anyone in the world because it is run by Satan and his demons.
Abundant life is found ONLY in Jesus Christ. He is the Door to the Kingdom of God where Abundant Life awaits us. When we say yes to Jesus and turn from this evil world, we take the first step of relinquishing our life to God and His Plan for us.
It takes faith to believe in God and His Plan for your life. Without faith in Him, we will never trust Him enough to follow Him and relinquish our own plans. No one knew this better than Saul of Tarsus. God had a tremendous plan for this man and He created him with everything he needed. Saul’s part in the whole thing was to accept Christ as his Savior and Lord, turn from his wicked ways, and totally surrender his life to God’s Plan for him.
Saul’s life is no different than anyone else. God has a Plan for every single person on earth. We are all His creation and we are all here for a specific purpose that will in some way enhance the Kingdom of God. He has a Plan for YOU! His Plan for you is specific to you. It has been custom designed by the Creator of the entire universe just for you. No one else can do what God designed you to do.
We are alive at this particular time for a specific reason all of which is to benefit the Kingdom of God. We are only alive on earth for a very short period of time. Our lifespan on earth has not happened by chance. In the whole scheme of things, if we will take a step back, stop looking at ourselves, and consider what we know about God, we will find that we are here for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)
James, the half-brother of Jesus wrote: For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. (James 4:14) Is it a coincidence that both these Passages have the same address; 4:14? I don’t know but I do know that our lives are short and we are all here for such a time as this; for a specific reason. When we give ourselves over to this, we can begin to live the Abundant Life Jesus died for us to have, led by the Holy Spirit of God.
A tiny bit of faith can…..…….turn the tide..……..in your life.
