Outreach Is Number One

Mark 16:18 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, he was received up into Heaven, and sat down at the Right Hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word through the accompanying signs. Amen

Yesterday, we broke down this Passage of Scripture, phrase by phrase. What Jesus instructed His followers to do prior to His Ascension into Heaven is still His instruction to His Church today. He does not change. His Message does not change. His Gospel does not change. The way to Salvation has not changed. Everything is supposed to be the same today as it was then.

The Word of God says, And they went out and preached everywhere, No place on earth is beyond the reach of the Gospel of Christ when we take it there. That is our job; to take the Gospel to the far reaches of the earth. Unfortunately, most believers today are sitting in their fancy church buildings waiting for the lost souls to come in. Some do, but in most cases, they don’t.

Outreach is the first thing on the list. Is this the first priority of the Church today? I venture to say that it is not. God has a Divine Order for everything and the Ministry of His Church is no exception.

The Apostle Paul spelled it out in the 10th Chapter of the Book of Romans. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of Peace, who bring glad tiding of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:14-18)

These words of Paul given to Him by the Holy Spirit of God sum it all up. How will they be saved if we don’t tell them about Jesus? The answer: They won’t. We have been commissioned (that means ordered) by Jesus to take the Gospel to the far corners of the world. Jesus said, If you love Me, you will keep My Commandments. (John 14:15)

Today is the day of Salvation for someone. Who will you tell?

God will soon……….turn the tide
