Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Sorcery and witchcraft are two of the most dangerous demonic spirits in Satan’s arsenal. The Apostle Paul warned us about this in his letter to the Church in Ephesus. We must not be ignorant of the enemy’s devices. We cannot fight an enemy we do not know. Therefore, we must educate ourselves about the schemes of the devil so we can stand against them.
Sorcery and witchcraft include a wide variety of things that are prevalent in the world today. As we discussed yesterday, magic, fortune telling, tarot cards, astrology, and palm readers are just the tip of the iceberg.
Actually ANYTHING we place our faith in other than the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ falls in this category and it breaks the First Commandment Jesus gave us. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul and all your mind. (Matthew 22:37) Anything that alters our mind or thought processes falls into the category of witchcraft. How can we love the Lord our God with all our minds, if it is in an altered state? We can’t and that is how witchcraft robs us of our faith.
Any mind-altering substance is witchcraft and should be avoided by all believers. This includes alcohol and all drugs; legal and illegal. Yes, this includes pharmaceutical drugs that alter your mind. We are not to use them because we can quickly become dependent on them and dependency soon becomes an addiction. God wants us to be addicted to Him, not substances.
The word pharmaceutical comes from the Greek word pharmakeia which is sorcery and witchcraft. If you do a search of this word, you will discover many articles and videos warning you of the hazards of pharmaceutical drugs.
God wants to use you to further His Kingdom. He cannot do this if you are in an altered state of mind. If you are dependent on or addicted to, drugs or a mind-altering substance, God is calling you to set it down and place your full faith and trust in Him.
Do not be afraid. God did not give you the spirit of fear but of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) Did you get that? God has given you a SOUND MIND! That means you do not need the assistance of the enemy. You have been given the Power and Authority in the Name of Jesus to cast the spirit of addiction and witchcraft out of yourself. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm you. (Luke 10:19)
Today is the day for you to be delivered from this demonic hold on your life and walk in the Freedom Christ died on the Cross for you to have. Speak to this enemy and command it to leave you. Repeat these words: “Spirit of addiction, I command you to leave now in the Name of Jesus. You have no place in my life. I am a child of God and He has given me a Sound Mind with which to serve and worship Him. I rebuke you spirit of witchcraft and command you to leave too. My faith is in the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and you cannot reside in my spirit any longer. I give myself over to the Lord God Almighty and I loose the Holy Spirit of God to work mightily in my life.”
Stand fast therefore in the Liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1) Hallelujah!
