Power For Victory

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God.

As we have stated many times, the Holy Spirit is the Power Source of God. However, without faith in the Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, we do not have access to the Holy Spirit. Many believers are Saved because they believe Jesus died on the Cross for their sins, but they do not believe Jesus is their Way to Victory over sin in this life now, which is the Work of the Holy Spirit.

We will never know Victory without the Holy Spirit working within us and we will never have the Holy Spirit if we don’t place our faith in the Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary. The desire of the Holy Spirit is to give us Victory over the world, the flesh and the devil. He can do this for us, but we have to allow Him to do so. We cannot shut Him out and expect Him to work inside at the same time. That doesn’t make any sense.

We have full access to the Power of the Holy Spirit of God through our faith in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. The Finished Work of Christ was an all-inclusive Work. Nothing of the world, the flesh, or the devil was left unattended to. Jesus paid it all for it all. His Blood paid the price for every sin every committed by every person, thus removing the PENALTY of sin for believers, which is death. He ALSO defeated the POWER of sin in our lives. Our faith in these two FACTS will release the Holy Spirit to work mightily in our lives, IF we believe in Him as well.

The Apostle Paul wrote: And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the Testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)

Paul knew Victory in his life on earth because he believed Christ died for his Victory. He placed his faith squarely in Christ Crucified and allowed the Holy Spirit to Teach him, Guide him, Counsel him and Correct him.

Victory comes by us living our lives led by the Spirit of God. The ONLY way to do this is through our faith being ONLY in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary.

Faith in the Finished Work of Christ will……….turn the tide

Thank you Jesus,         Doreen
