John 14:21 And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest Commandment. (Matthew 22:37-38) In this Commandment, Jesus gave us instructions for living a Christian life. It means that nothing is to come before God. He is to be the total focus of our lives. Nothing should take precedence over Him. He is to be the single most important thing to us.

This has always been the case since God gave Moses the Ten Commandments. You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in Heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing Mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments. (Exodus 20:3-6)

The Apostle Paul wrote I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the Mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1) Given all that Jesus did for us, isn’t it reasonable that we give our all to Him?

Jesus said, If you love Me, keep My Commandments. (John 14:15) He went on to explain this further. He who has My Commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. (John 14:21)

People want to see God work in their lives. They want to be used by God but they don’t see anything happening. They say they are committed to God but in reality, they refuse to submit to His Commandments. Unfortunately, I would venture to say that this is a description of most of the Church today.

In Jesus’ statement in John 14:21, He makes a beautiful and powerful Promise to those who obey Him. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. Do you want to see God manifest in your life and ministry? Are you seeing this? If not, pray and ask God to convict you of the things and areas of your life that are not in keeping with His Commandments.

God will grant you this request because He wants you to love Him with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. He wants to be first in your life. We each set our own priorities. We determine what is most important to us. God has told us what He wants but it is up to us to line up with His requirements.

The Commandments of God are not suggestions. They are Commandments; Orders from the God Almighty the Creator of Heaven and Earth. The first and most important Order (Commandment) is to put God first above EVERYTHING else in your life.

Living for God is all about our priorities. God loves you and He is waiting for you to get your priorities in order. Then and only then will you see God work mightily in and through you. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.

Keep God first and He will………..turn the tide……..in your life!

Jesus first above all else!         Doreen
