Acts 4:14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

 

Standing with Peter and John, in front of the Sanhedrin, was the man that had just been healed. While their words were bold and powerful, the healed man standing before them was the proof.

 

Just hours before, and for years, this man sat at the Gate of the Temple begging for his existence. He had been born crippled and had to be carried everywhere he went. Now, he stood before the highest court of the land with Peter and John as they testified of the Power of the Holy Spirit through faith in the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

As Luke wrote, they could say nothing against it. How could they? They knew it wasn’t a trick. They had walked past this man for years. They knew of his physical condition and yet, now there he stood, on his own two feet, totally and completely healed!

 

Physical healing is one of the most powerful testimonies there is. No one can deny the Power of God to Heal when the evidence is right before their eyes. This is what our Founding Fathers built our Judicial System on. To win a case there must be evidence and proof. When the Judge has the proper evidence and proof, they will act accordingly and make the proper determination.

 

In the case of Peter and John, they were brought before the Judicial system of that day on charges of blasphemy. They boldly spoke their case for Christ and the Court heard them but standing right beside them was the evidence; proof positive that Jesus Christ still Heals people through the Power of the Holy Spirit of God.

 

We can talk to people and plead our case for Christ, but nothing speaks louder than the testimony of someone who has been Healed and/or Delivered from demonic oppression or possession. This is the Power of God and when people see it they cannot deny it.

 

The Power of God will….….turn the tide
