Provision Of God

Psalms 103:5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

God has equipped His Church with Promises, Benefits and Authority. Promises are accompanied with conditions. Benefits have provisions and Authority demands responsibility. Thus far in our study of the Benefits of God, we have found, FORGIVENESS, HEALING, DELIVERANCE, LOVING KINDNESS, MERCY and PROVISION.

Provision is a wide-spread Benefit. It encompasses a vast array of things. The first thing that comes to mind is food and water without which we cannot survive. In Psalms 103, David wrote, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

In this single Verse of Scripture we find Divine Provision and the consequence of that Provision. I do believe he is referring to food and other substances we take into our bodies. God will provide good food and water for us to eat. When we take in His Provision, our youth will be renewed. That’s what the Scripture says! Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

What is the Body of Christ eating and drinking? Is it God’s good food or are we eating man-made food filled with chemicals and additives? Are we drinking His pure water or are we consuming liquids that are harmful to our bodies?

I don’t mean this message to be a chastisement, but it is a proven fact that the chemicals, additives and preservatives found in much of our food today are harmful to our health. Also, carbonated drinks, diet soda and everything alcoholic is extremely detrimental to our physical well being. Not to mention nicotine and other addictive substances we call drugs.

Just because something is not against the law does not make it beneficial for us. Paul wrote about this to the Corinthians. All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. (1 Corinthians 10:23)

God’s Benefits are not to be taken for granted. Nor are they to be abused. We know what is good food and what is not. We know that God put water on this earth for us to drink. We know these things and yet we eat and drink that which is harmful to our physical bodies. Why? Because Satan comes but to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) Jesus came that we may have Abundant Life filled with all the Benefits we have been studying about.

God will not force us to eat good food and drink the water He has put on this earth. He doesn’t make us to anything. However, if you are feeling old before your time and want to be physically healthy, allow me to suggest to you that you eat and drink what God has provided. This is His Provision for our physical bodies. In doing so, your youth will be renewed. That’s a Promise!

God has given us everything to……….turn the tide………in our lives.
