2 Corinthians 11:4 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

 

God made the Gospel very easy to understand. It is not complicated or difficult to be Saved. It’s so simple, a young child can understand it. The Apostle Paul reminds us of how the serpent deceived Eve in the Garden by convincing her that what God said was not really what He meant. Unfortunately, Eve believed the words of the enemy and she sinned. Then Adam followed her in that sin and that changed everything.

 

God’s Word is true. He wrote it and you can believe it. Everything about it is really quite simple. There are two forces at work in the universe: Good and evil. Everything Good is of God and all that is evil is of Satan. It’s all black and white; right or wrong; good or evil.

 

The true Gospel of Christ is Good. It is the Good News for every human being. Just as the serpent deceived Eve in the Garden, there are many so-called preachers out there today who have changed the Word of God. Some have added to or taken away from it while others have made it so confusing educated adults can’t understand it.

 

Paul referred to these people as those who are preaching another Jesus or another Gospel. The serpent confused Eve and she entered into sin. God, His Word, and His Plan of Salvation are not confusing. It’s not hard to understand. For God is not the author of confusion but of Peace, as in all the churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:33)

 

The Gospel of Christ brings with it, Peace. False teaching brings confusion. In the above Verse, we see this issue in black and white. The White (Good; Righteous) is Peace. The black (evil; unrighteous) is confusion.

 

Confusion corrupts the mind because it robs the person of Peace. This is the work of the enemy who Jesus told us comes ONLY to kill, steal (rob) and destroy. (John 10:10) Do not be deceived by those who preach a confusing gospel. If it’s difficult to understand, it’s a lie. Don’t accept it. Don’t listen to it and don’t put up with it. Call it out for what it is because in doing so, you will save someone else from being corrupted by that false message. For if he who comes preaching another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it.

 

The SIMPLE Gospel will……….turn the tide……….in this world!
