Rebuke And Replace

Matthew 12:43-45 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.  Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Yesterday we identified the first in a legion of demonic spirits ministering to the possessed people. It is the spirit of antichrist. All demonic spirits have an opposing and far more powerful Righteous Spirit. The Righteous Spirit which opposes the spirit of antichrist is, Faith. Faith in Jesus can easily conquer the spirit of antichrist and squash it like a bug! Light ALWAYS dispels darkness. There is nothing more powerful than the Name of Jesus and Faith in Who He is, What He did on the Cross, and continues to do through the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus gave us the power to rebuke evil spirits and cast out demons. Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:17-19)

This is great Power the Lord has given us but we must be careful to use it properly and remain humble. All Power is in the Name of Jesus, not in any person. Jesus went on to say in verse 20. “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.”

With all that said, as we set forth into this spiritual warfare against Satan’s kingdom of darkness, we must remain humble knowing that all Power is in the Name of Jesus. We must also be extremely careful and diligent to be Biblically correct in our approach, tactics, and methods.

The demonic spirit of antichrist can be rebuked and cast out of a person but the space left behind MUST be replaced with the opposing Righteous Spirit of Faith or it will return with seven demons more wicked than himself and the person will be worse. This is what Jesus explained in Matthew 12:43-45. Please read this carefully and pray for understanding.
“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.

Anyone who rejects or turns away from Jesus is being ministered to by the spirit of antichrist. Their only hope is Faith; the opposing Righteous Spirit. If they are open to receiving the Truth of the Gospel of Christ and sincerely WANT help, the demonic spirit can be rebuked and cast out of their lives. However, it is imperative to remember that the space occupied by the demon, must be filled with the Righteous Spirit of Faith in Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God.

Here's an easy rule to remember when rebuking demonic spirits: In the Name of Jesus, rebuke and replace; fill the space.

The Holy Spirit of God can……..turn the tide
