Recruited For Battle

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

To every born again believer, has been given all the Benefits. Thus far, over the past several days, we have determined these to include: FORGIVENESS, HEALING, DELIVERANCE, LOVING KINDNESS, MERCY, PROVISION, AUTHORITY and POWER.

Yesterday we entered into a discussion about our Authority and Power over the enemy. Our lives as Christians are a constant battle. Satan does not want us to live in Peace so he sends his army of fallen angels, demons and evil spirits to torment us. What we have to understand is that the Authority and Power we have is FAR greater than anything Satan could come against us with. It is no comparison!

John said, Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) Satan knows it too but he doesn’t stop tormenting and persecuting us. The simple fact is, we are in a continual spiritual battle and we cannot ever let our guard down. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)

This spiritual war that continually rages can be compared to a war between two countries on earth. Country X goes to war with Country Y. They both have a Commander and ranks of military troops. Rarely, if ever, do we find the Commander in Chief (the brains of the operation) on the ground fighting the enemy. He sits in his high office giving orders to those on the ground and provides them with the weaponry they need for battle. It is the foot soldiers and other lower ranking members of the military that actually do the fighting.

And so it is with the spiritual battle that rages all around us every day. Every person on earth is in the battle whether they want to be or not. We are on the side of Good; God’s Righteousness; the Kingdom of Heaven and of Light. God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is our Commander in Chief and King of our Country. All the Righteous Angels are a part of our Army and we are the foot soldiers on the ground.

The other side is the kingdom of evil and darkness. It’s leader is Satan. He too has a regiment of soldiers and lower ranking members of his military. The angels that chose to leave God and go with him (the fallen angels) demons and evil spirits are the foot soldiers for their commander, Satan.

Both kingdoms have huge numbers in their military and both kingdoms use people to fight. When we see people who appear to be evil, they are being used by Satan’s kingdom of evil darkness to fight in the spiritual battle. They were created in the Image of God to be in His Kingdom of Heaven, but they don’t know it. Instead they were “recruited” by Satan’s troops to join his kingdom and they did.

God gives every human being free will to choose a kingdom. Both kingdoms use people and angels as recruiters for their kingdom. That’s us! When we are not in the midst of a severe battle, we are to be constantly recruiting people into the Kingdom of God and training them for battle.

This is the commission given us by Jesus when He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)

We are all foot soldiers in the Army of God. We have been given our assignment. Unfortunately, most Christians are sitting back enjoying the Benefits of the Kingdom instead of being obedient to what their Commander in Chief has ordered them to do.

It’s time to get in the fight, people. Time is short. Millions will die and spend eternity in Hell because we have been too lazy to recruit them into the Kingdom of Heaven.

God will soon……….turn the tide

I’m in the fight!         Doreen
