Redeemed From Destruction

Psalm 103:4 Who redeems your life from destruction;

As we continue with our “list” of the Benefits that are included in the Promise of the New Covenant (Abundant Life), we will now add Deliverance. Up to this point, we have Forgiveness and Healing. Every Benefit comes to us by way of our faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ by the shedding of His Blood.

As we have discussed so many times, sin is the problem for mankind and faith in the shed Blood of Jesus is the remedy. We must BELIEVE in the spiritual application of the Finished Work of Christ. Everything we receive from God is by way of our spirit. We are created, body, soul and spirit. God is spirit and He communicates with us spirit to spirit. The Holy Spirit of God speaks to our spirit which affects our soul (mind, will and emotions) and manifests in our natural body. That’s why when a person is truly saved and born again, their natural life dramatically changes. These changes are the result of the Ministry of Deliverance.

We are all born with the sin nature. Therefore we are bound for a life of destruction and eternity in Hell without Christ. Psalm 103:4 says, Who redeems your life from destruction; The word redeem means to purchase something back that has been lost through death, default or failure to pay. Jesus did this on the Cross. By shedding His Blood, He bought us back from Hell. He paid the price for us; all of us and each of us. He did this for you, personally.

The Bible says that God knows our names. He knows each one of us personally and Jesus died on the Cross for each one of us personally. When we accept this fact, we can place our faith and trust in Him and what He did for us. Faith and trust in God originates and is generated in our spirit beings. It comes to us by way of the Holy Spirit of God communicating with our spirit. Jesus said, No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44)

When the Spirit of God touches our spirit, something happens! We are drawn to God because our spirit is in touch with His Spirit. This is what happens when we are saved but God does not intend for our “Spirit Communication” to stop there. He wants us to be in constant Spirit Communication with Him. This is how we receive all the Benefits and can live the Abundant Life on a continuous basis.

There is no condemnation for the truly saved and born again believer. Why? Because they are “walking” in the Benefits of the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross. They believe that they have been Redeemed from a life of destruction. Paul wrote: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1)

My friends, it’s all a matter of what you believe and what you place your faith in. That which you believe, you will place your faith and trust in and that’s what will guide and direct every step of your life. What do you believe? In whom do you place your faith and trust? Your honest answer to these questions defines who or what your God is. It’s time to get real.

Remember, You shall have no other gods before Me. (Exodus 20:3) This is the most important Commandment. That’s why God put it first. He wants to be your One and Only. It’s up to you.

Jesus died to.……….turn the tide………..in your life.

Jesus is my One and Only, Doreen
