Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans not to harm you but to give you a future and a hope.

Today marks the 19th Anniversary of my husband’s death. It doesn’t seem possible that 19 years have passed, but they have and oh what a Work the Lord has done in my life during this time.

The loss of my husband, Jack, was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. However, the Lord quickly showed me so many things about Jack’s life, his death, and what He had planned for me from then on.

When things like this happen, it hurts; it hurts bad but God did not allow this to happen to hurt us. He allows these things to happen to give us hope in Him for the future. When we are going through times like this, we may not see it this way, but that is God’s way of drawing us closer to Him and building our faith in Him.

It’s not about missing our loved one, it’s about turning to our First Love, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our everything and He is a far greater spouse than any human being. Isaiah 54:5 says, For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of Hosts is His Name. The Holy Spirit led me straight to this Scripture one morning shortly after I lost Jack. It has seen me through many days and lonely nights since then.

If you have recently lost your spouse, I pray this Morning Message will be an encouragement to you. God has a Plan for this new season in your life. If you will take Him by the Hand and allow Him to lead you, He will reveal to you His Plan for this time, and remember, His Plans are not to harm you but to give you a future and a hope.

You can consider yourself remarried to the most magnificent spouse anyone could ever ask for. The Lord of Hosts is His Name. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

But He will……….turn the tide……..in your life.
