Revelation 2:23 And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

 

In Jesus’ letter to the church at Thyatira, we find that some of the people were influenced by the spirit of Jezebel and fell into sin while others stood fast in their faith in Jesus and His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary. Although evil was all around them, they continued to be faithful and obedient.

 

All people who believe in Jesus are a part of what we know as the Body of Christ. We are to be the hand and feet of Jesus, building the Kingdom until He returns. Because of our faith in Him and His Finished Work on the Cross, we are totally Justified and Redeemed in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. We are alive on earth today to be the Body of Christ. Each one of us has a part to play in the continuation of Jesus’ Ministry on earth which was to build the Kingdom of God through Salvation, Healing, and Deliverance. (Luke 4:18)

 

God the Father placed everything in the Hands of Jesus. The Father loves the Son, and has placed all things into His Hand. (John 3:35) The Church, the Body of Christ, was birthed out of the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus. Since all people are sinners, we had to be Redeemed; we needed a Savior. Jesus Redeemed us on the Cross. He became the required Sacrifice on our behalf. He IS our Savior because He Saved us from the Wrath of God.

 

Jesus was raised from the dead in His Resurrection. We too are raised from spiritual death into life in Him. There is no spiritual life except in Jesus Christ. He was Resurrected from the dead so we too can be raised to new life IN CHRIST JESUS! Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4) This is what Jesus was talking about when He said, You must be born again. (John 3:7)

 

All who are born again become the Body of Christ; a new creation alive on earth to build the Kingdom of God. Jesus is the Head and we are all the Body parts used by Him to further His Kingdom. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:22-23)

 

We must come to the understanding that we have all of Christ in us. We are His Body. The Apostle Paul wrote For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the Mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16) Yes, we have been given the Mind of Christ. That means we have the ability to think like Jesus and minister as He did to this lost and dying world.

 

This Ministry we are all called to is what Jesus referred to as our “works” and one day, we will all be rewarded for our works. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. (Revelation 2:23) Remember these words: But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2:20)

 

We are not saved BY OUR WORKS. We work because we are saved. You are the Body of Christ. You have the Mind of Christ. You will be rewarded according to your works. What are you doing to build the Kingdom of God? It’s time to be about the Father’s Business.

 

He’s coming back to……….turn the tide……..in this world.
