Psalms 103:6 The Lord executes Righteousness and Judgment for all who are oppressed.

 

In the 6th Verse of the 103rd Psalm, David reveals what’s next in the long list of Benefits for the born again believer. He wrote: The Lord executes Righteousness and Judgment for all who are oppressed.

 

The Benefits are RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUDGMENT for everyone and anyone who is oppressed. Our Benefits can be compared to an employee benefit package. Some benefits are taken advantage of on a continuous basis while other are used as needed. An example would be Health Insurance. While your benefit package of your job may include Health Insurance, you don’t use that benefit until you become sick and in need of a healthcare provider. The benefit is there for you, but you don’t use it until you need it.

 

In fact, most things included in an employee benefit package are like this. Your benefit package may include a life insurance policy for you, but you don’t get that benefit until you die. David tells us that we have the Benefit of Righteousness and Justice if and when we are oppressed.

 

So, what does it mean to be oppressed? The Greek word translated as “oppressed” is katadunasteuo, which means, “to exercise an attack or dominion against, that is, oppress.” In this case, the word dominion does not indicate total ownership or possession of a person. It does, however, mean that the enemy has assigned an evil spirit (demon or fallen angel) to torment them.

 

Satan has an army of demon spirits and fallen angels that he commands to torment God’s people. He uses these spirits to oppress us and gain dominion over us. One of the definitions of dominion speaks of an order of angels; a celestial hierarchy or a host of angelic beings, including principalities, powers, etc. This is exactly what Paul wrote about in his letter to the Ephesians. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

 

We face this demonic oppression every day but when we know and understand our Benefit of RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUDGMENT against these tormenting spirits, we can exercise these Benefits and simply command them to leave in the Name of Jesus.

 

God Anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38) The Power of the Holy Ghost now resides in us! Jesus gave us the Authority and Power to cast out demons and devils. Behold, I give you the Authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.(Luke 19:10)

 

The AUTHORITY and POWER to inflict RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUDGMENT against any and all demonic spirits and fallen angels is in our Benefit Package. YOU have been given these Benefits to use in your own life and in the lives of others who want to be set free from oppression. David said, Forget not all His Benefits. (Psalms 103:2)
