Romans 1:21-23 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
This Passage of Scripture is the Apostle Paul’s description of apostasy. Apostasy is defined as: Abandonment of the faith.
The Church in America is the state of apostasy. As a whole, we have abandoned the faith and no longer glorify God for Who He is. Nor are we grateful or thankful for all He has done for us. We have turned our back on much of the Message of the Cross of Christ and hitched our wagons to false teaching and doctrines of the flesh as the Church has sought after money, personal gain, and position in the world. We have compromised our beliefs and values and have given over to the words of man who represents the evils of this world.
The Holy Spirit of God through the great Apostle Paul declared exactly what has happened in America: Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God to corruptible man, Americans think they are wise, but they are fools. They have turned away from God, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God to corruptible man,
In my opinion, the Body of Christ today in America is in pitiful condition. What used to be the strength and voice of America is now no more than a weak, frightened whisper behind the brick walls of a building. The Church used to be the center and pillar of the community but is now no more than the place where a few people join together once a week.
Let us rise up in the strength of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and our Father in Heaven. Let our voices ring out once again in the streets across our land. Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard, (Psalm 66:8)
Faith in the One True God of the Bible has always been the foundation of America. On the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ and the Word of God this nation was founded and built. The voice of the Church has always been the loudest, most clear voice in America. If Freedom is to once again ring out throughout our land, it is up to us, the Voice of Freedom to open the doors of our churches and let our song be heard.
We have hidden behind closed church doors long enough! Rise up, Christian! Rise up American! Our forefathers did not hide in their homes or behind doors. They believed in God and boldly declared their faith; enough faith to BELIEVE God would bless them and protect them if they stood strong for Him.
We must once again rise up in such faith and go out in the streets and proclaim to the people that America has always been and is STILL a Christian nation!
When God’s people lift up the Name of Christ, He will…….turn the tide
