Proverbs 4:8-9 Exalt her, and she shall promote you: she shall bring you to honor, when you do embrace her. She shall give to your head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to you.
In these two Verses, Solomon refers to Wisdom as “she.” Like the Queen that she is, Wisdom is to be exalted and sought after all the days of our lives.
It is Wisdom that will bring promotion and honor to those who embrace her. Without Wisdom there will be no spiritual promotion; no higher path. Nor will there be any place of honor because, without the Wisdom of God, one lives in the valley of sin, darkness, and death.
The Wisdom of God brings with it an abundance of Grace which will be evident to all. Solomon said Wisdom shall give to your head an ornament of grace. It is like wearing a beautiful hat that everyone notices as soon as you come into view. He goes on to call it a crown of glory which is even a more beautiful head covering.
When we first see someone, our eyes go to their face. If they are wearing a hat, it is the first thing we notice. The head-covering of Wisdom is indeed a crown of glory an ornament of grace desired by all believers. The only way to be seen in this fashion is to possess the Wisdom of God.
Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) To seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness is to seek the Wisdom of God which is found in His Word.
Pray and seek Wisdom and Understanding. God will hear and answer your prayer. Ask and it shall be given unto you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and door shall be opened unto you. (Matthew 7:7)
Seeking greater Wisdom will ……….turn the tide..………….in your life.
