Isaiah 59:19 When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a Standard against him.
This is a powerful promise of God! The enemy may come in like a flood but the Spirit of the Lord will always raise up the Standard which is Christ. Christ represents Victory. The enemy represents evil and sin which Christ was victorious over on the Cross. Therefore, we can be assured that, When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a Standard against him.!
Does the Body of Christ have a part to play in this battle? I believe we do. I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, (Isaiah 62:6)
The Church must not be silent. Christ commissioned us to go out into the world and preach the Gospel. America has always stood for Christ and in the face of the enemy now before us, we must stand like never before!
Our forefathers believed America to be a God-ordained nation. George Washington said, "No People can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand, which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States."
John Adams, our first vice president and second president, said, "I always considered the settlement of America with Reverence and Wonder, as the opening of a grand scene and design of Providence. . . ."
They believed it and were willing to die for the cause. Americans are still willing to die for the cause of Freedom and Liberty in America and many do every year. But what about the Americans who don’t wear a military uniform and leave their families to fight on the battlefield for freedom? What about those of us who sit in the comfort of our homes and enjoy the freedom so many others have fought for? What is our part?
To take a stand for America is to take a stand for Christ in America. The two are intertwined tightly together and must never be separated. The enemy we face today wishes to totally destroy our Constitution and way of life. Therefore, we must stand and we must NOT be silent!
If you love the Lord and America you have been called to be a watchman on the wall. Perhaps you are just to watch over your own home and family, or perhaps you have been called to watch your business, community, or town. Whatever the case, we are all to watch and not be silent.
If the Body of Christ would get out of their recliner chairs and take up the Cause of Christ in America, we could take this nation back in a short period of time because God would do what He promised. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a Standard against him.
Go to the polls and vote as if your life depended on it because it does.
The Standard of Christ will……..turn the tide
